NAME: Jackie Cetnar
I am looking for living relatives in Macomb County. I am researching the CETNAR surname. I start with a Peter and Mary (Jarosz) Cetnar. They immigrated from Poland to New York on April 25, 1881, on the Victoria. Their children were Adam, Walter, Catherine, Caroline, Ann, John, Joseph, Justin, Vincent, Alexander, and Stanley that I know of. They lived in the Hamtramck area of Detroit. Mary Cetnar was born August 1848 and died August 1935. Peter was born in Poland about 1840 and died in Detroit on June 16, 1904. Jackie Cetnar

I am presently looking for info on MELLEN family members. My great grandmother was Mary A. MELLEN b June 1879 d. 1904 who married Herbert BRACY. They lived in Washington, Macomb Co. Michigan. She died shortly after the birth of her third child. The first two children, my grandfather Charles BRACY and his sister Beulah were adopted out afterwards. I need information on his father: Herbert O. BRACY b. 11-25-1872 (according to a obit Disco, Macomb Co. Mi) d. 4-10-1962 Flint, Genesee Co. Mi (Mary A. MELLEN of Macomb Co. Mi) possible sibling may include Frances S. b. 9-4-1869, Myrton S. b Sept 1884, Samuel F. b. Nov. 1886, Nina E. b. Nov 1889 but not positive. I also need information on his father; George W. BRACY b. Sept 1846 in Ohio married to Mary Annie WEST b. abt 1850 in Ohio her parents being Clancey and Sarah S. WEST, I found they may have been divorced. I am looking for descendants of Henry KREGER b. abt. 1860 and Theresa LAFORGE. They were married in 25Dec1883 at Chesterfield, Macomb Co. I believe, Theresa was from there, Henry was from Shelby Township. I could not find them in the 1900 census and the other censuses after that. Please help me put the family together again. Does anyone have any information on the NUMMER family who lived by Gratiot between 8 & 10 mile in Macomb county.? I am particularly interested in the following names George B. Nummer,B. George Nummer, and August Nummer. They owned large farms in the Macomb county area from 1848 thru 1900's. They are respectively my father,grandfather and possibly my greatgrandfather. August Nummer was clerk for Erin Township in 1899. He was born around 1824 and came with his father & brother to MI from Germany abt. 1848. B. George Nummer was born in Macomb county in 1864. He died in 1917 when he was run over by a team of horses on 8 mile & Dequindre. He married Mary Wirth and they had 9 children. George B. Nummer,Loretta,Henrietta,Julia,Fred,Edward,Henry,Elmer and Mildred. Most of them married in Macomb county also. My real question is who are B. George Nummer's parents? NAME: Don Granzow
I am interested in finding descendants of my g-grandfathers brother, FRIEDERICK GUNDLACH. He was born in Germany, April 1, 1837 and was given the name Christian Friederck Johann Gundlach. He arrived in New York June 1, 1857 along with his parents and his brother Theodore (my g-grandfather) and his sister (Sophia). Theodore bought a farm near New Baltimore in Sept. 1857. In 1859 FRIEDERICK filed a Declaration of Intent to become a Naturalized citizen. The 1860 Census indicates that FRIEDERICK was working as a farmhand for Paul and Elizabeth Brinker in New Baltimore. I have lost track of FRIEDERICK after this date. He may have moved to Erin or Warren Townships. I would appreciate any information on this individual. Don Granzow

Hello I am researching my Great Great Great Grandfather George H BRINKER who died at the age of 91. He was born in Germany in 1829 and eventually settled down at Conner's Creek near Warren. He was buried in St Clement's Cemetary in Center Line Michigan. George was married three times first to a Philista TROMBLEY, after her death he married her sister Julia by whom he had eight children (five of whom were living at the time of his death) they were Amandus, with 9 children, Romanus, with 3 children, Celia, with 9 children, George with 3 children, Bartholomew with 5 children, Albert, with 3 children and Julia with 7. After his second wife's death, George married Josephine Gipperrich by whom he had 13 children: The eight still living are: Mary, Viola, Frank, Alexander, Ernastine, Elizabeth, Fred, and Lea. George opened the first blacksmith shop near Warren and his last child was born after he had passed his seventieth birthday. If anyone has any information that could help me with information on my Brinker family I would appreciate it. Jill Gasowski

Her mother is Margaret (Peggy) Gonyeau - who worked as a meteorologist, stationed with the Michigan Air Guard at Selfridge ANGB circa 1981. Carrie Kipp was the daughter of Frederick Kipp of Armada . Frederick Kipp Died June 20, 1931 Flossie amd Harry had three daughters Iris ,born in Michigan Doris and Ruth. I am researching my father's true family line - he was adopted at birth in Toledo, OH in 1918. His birth father's name was ARLIE C. HITCHCOCK and his mother was LILLIAN BENTLEY, both from the Azalia, MI area.

Arlie later married HAZEL A. MANN in 1922 at Owosso, MI. Hazel was born c 1892 at Mt. Clemens. Her parents were AUSTIN MANN and GEORGIA SPENCE MANN. Witnesses to the marriage were MR & MRS B. L. AXFORD. Hazel and Arlie had two sons - Alton (who died at an early age) and Arlie, Jr.. Both Hazel and Arlie, Jr. were still living in 1971 when Arlie, Sr. died.
