This Indenture made and entered into this 18th day of March the year of
our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty between Elizabeth Morgan,widow of John D. Morgan, James F. Morgan, William R. Morgan and John J.
Morgan of the one part and John G. Chambers of the second part all of
the county of Trimble and state of Kentucky Witnesseth that the party of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred
dollars to them in hand paid have this day bargained and sold and by
these presents do bargain sell and convey unto the said John G. Chambers
all the right title and interest that they have or of rightaway have in
and to the tract of land which the said Elizabeth Morgan now lives
supposed to contain sixty acres also one Negro woman named Mary and one
negro girl named Marthy and one named Emaline slaves for life unto the
said John G. Chambers his heirs and assign forever.
The condition of the
above conveyance are such that whereas the said parties of the first
part have sold and delivered to the said John G. Chambers a negro woman
a slave named Sarah and her child named Phillip which are encumbered
with the legal claims of Lafayette Morgan and Napolean Morgan infant
heirs of John D. Morgan deceased which consists of two undivided fifth
parts thereof subject to the dower right of the said Elizabeth: now if
the said Elizabeth Morgan, James F. Morgan, William R. Morgan and John
J. Morgan parties of the first part do well and truly legally secure to
the said John G. Chambers a good and suficent (sic) title to the above
named Sarah and her child Phillip clear of and from the claims of the
above named infant heirs of John D. Morgan then the above conveyance so
far as it conveys the above named property is null and void otherwise to
remain in full force and virtue in law.
In testimony whereof they the
said Elizabeth Morgan, James F. Morgan, William R. Morgan and John J.
Morgan have hereto set their hands and offered their seals on the day
and date above written

William Samuel clerk of the county court for the county do certify
that this deed of Mortgage from the Morgans to John G. Chambers was this
day produced to me in my county and proved by the Oath of James Moore
and Stephen Forsee to be the acts and deeds of Elizabeth Morgan, James
F. Morgan, William R. Morgan and John J. Morgan whereupon said deed
together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my
office. Given under my hand this 18th day of March 1850
