MINOR WINN 1859 LAND PURCHASE in TRIMBLE COUNTY


            This Indenture made and entered into this 12th day of September in the year of our Lord 1859 by & between Rosel Jackson of the county of Trimble and State of Kentucky of the first part and Minor Winn of the county & State aforesaid of the other part Witness that for and in Consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted Bargained & Sold and by these presents do grant Bargain sell Transfer & Convey unto the said Minor Winn his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in Trimble County  State aforesaid on the waters of Little Kentucky and Bounded as follows Beginning at a stone in a Branch Bell corner thence with his line South East one hundred & eighty four poles to a Rock sugar tree Bush & Blackberry in Johnson Line thence with Johnsons Line at 80° E. sixty poles to a Rock in Millers Branch thence up the same N 16° Eighty two poles to a Lynn & Sugartree     N. seventy two poles to a Sugartree on the Bank of  south Branch thence N. 66° W 50 poles to a stone and ash thence N 14 poles on a straight line to the Beginning containing sixty two acres of land being the same more or less to have and to hold the said Rosel Jackson doth by these presents warrant and defend the title of the said Tract of Land to the same Minor Winn his heirs and against the claim or claims of all & every person who may now or hereafter claim the said Tract of Land.  In witness whereof the said Rosel Jackson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

I William Samuel Clerk of the County Court for and in said County certifies that this Deed to Minor Winn was on this day acknowledged before me in my office by Rosel Jackson a party thereto to be his act and Deed wherefrom said Deed together with this Certificate hath been duly Recorded in my office herein under my under my hand this 12th day of September 1859.
