Just found the Tyra obits from the Trimble Democrat on the Trimble Co. Genealogy page. From the issues 1928-1949 - "Tyra, Bob ca 70 .....Wife's name on 1910 census, Malissa, children, Laura and Ben. I can identify his wife Malissa as she was my great-aunt.

Malissa is Malissa Stark Hunt b 7/5/1873 Trimble Co., Ky d 8/31/1931 Madison Co., IN and buried in Marion Co., IN, marr. Nov 1894 Robert Tyra. Ch: Laura, Ben & Willard.

Malissa died in Madison Co., IN because she and family had been back from Indianapolis to Madison Co. & Trimble Co. to visit relatives when she became ill and died.

Malissa the dau/o Clayton Hunt 4/16/1852 Trimble Co., Ky-after 1877 & Leonora Francis "Fanny" Hunter 1855-after 1880.
Clayton & Fanny had three known children - Malissa 1873-1931; Sarah Catherine 7/3/1875 Trimble Co., Ky-2/13/1933 Spencer Co., Ky marr. Thomas Andrew Stump; Oscar Clayton Hunt 7/1/1877 Trimble Co., Ky-before 1931 Spencer Co., Ky; and perhaps a daughter Ova who marr. an O'Neal and lived in Brooksburg, Madison Co., IN

The three children of Clayton & Fanny who are known to me were placed in the Ky Baptist Orphans Home in Louisville, Ky in 1880 - were enumerated in 1880 C Trimble Co. with their mother, and another place Oscar Clayton with Joseph Tombs who had him at that time, and then all three again in June 1880 at the Orphans Home. Sarah Catherine (my grandmother) was adopted by Charles & Lucy O. Ramsey; Oscar Clayton was adoped by Wm. B. & Melissa A. Randall and his descs. all have the surname of Randall. Oscar Clayton marr. a Stump, Myrtle who was the niece of Sarah's husband Thomas Andrew Stump. I have copies of their orphans home records.

Clayton Hunt's parents were Wm. A. Hunt 1810 PA-after 1870 marr ca1835 Sarah Bridges 1812 OH-after 1870. I don't have any farther back than that. Leonora Francis "Fanny" (Hunter) Hunt's parents were Willis Hunter ?-1857/60 marr.1850/60 Sarah Catherine Kendall dau/o Thomas Kendall & Rebecca.

I was glad to see the Tyra info as I don't know anything about her family except that Laura died young, but I believe she may have married.

In memory of Loretta Bibb Tabler who generously supplied this additional information.
