TRIMBLE COUNTY TAX LIST
J-K

1837

Transcribed from Microfilm Reel #367 at the Trimble County Library by Joy Mack.
Film owned by the Trimble County Historical Society.

This transcribing is in the order that it appeared in the original record. Due to the size of each section, and the fact that the 1837 tax list was grouped by the first letter of each surname, I feel an index is not needed for this year.
To make these records easier to read and understand, the first box shows the order of the columns on the original record. I have listed with each entry only the data that was shown for them. Leaving out all the blanks.
NOTE: under the columns of "County in which Land lies" and "Water Course" carry downs on the original record are marked with a (") ditto mark. I have replaced the (") with what the (") represents for less confusion. Corrections of Given and Surnames came from the 1840 or 1850 Census and it's sources of corrections from the Trimble County Historical Society. Some surnames within this tax list do not appear in any Trimble County Census. With the formation of Carroll County Kentucky from part of Trimble in 1838, many of these surnames are probably in Carroll County Kentucky. Using a marriage index for Carroll Co., I've marked the surnames that do appear in that county.
