Most information enclosed in parenthesis is from another source other than the obituary. Remember all obituaries are not complete.

The period these obituaries were written, they were called in to the paper. In many instances the names were written incorrectly and some omitted. There are many mistakes in obituaries.

DAUGHERTY, Mrs. Alpheus, 27, Wise's Landing died 28 Jan 1929, buried Macedonia Cemetery. The former Miss Adams, 4 children: Dallis, LeRoy, Jesse and Elma Jean. Note: Her name was Ada Irene, wife of ALPHEUS DANIEL "Jack" DAUGHERTY, 1898?1981.

Trimble Co. 3 Nov 1863, remained in county all his life, s/o late Hannibal and Susan Pierce Daugherty, m. 18 Sep 1891 to EVA LATTY, who surv., 4 sons Lyter, who died while serving in the Panama Canal Zone 3 yrs ago. Living are Herman, John and Fred Daugherty.

Henry Daugherty who live on Little Kentucky River, b. 24 Dec 1893 on Boone Garriott farm, m. LUCILLE SHERMAN, 2 children Louise and George Daugherty, 2nd m. to MARY FOLINCO, no ch., he leaves the above mentioned and 3 brothers John, Fred and Herman Daugherty. He left Trimble Co. about 27 year ago.

DEMAREE, Sarah Ellen Edrington, 90, Calera, Okla. died 18 Sep 1936, buried there. Born 18 Oct 1845, Turner's Station, Henry Co., m. WILLIAM ALLEN DEMAREE now deceased, 5 ch., all living. Mr. and Mrs. Demaree lived near and operated the Demaree Water Mill on Little Kentucky, near where W. W. Logan now resides, leaving this area in February 1914.

DETMER, Andy, 74, Rising Sun, IN died 3 Mar 1949, buried there, b. Rising Sun, 20 Apr 1874, s/o late Charles and Henrietta Henson Detmer, moved to Trimble Co., when 17 yrs old. He served as President of Farmers Bank of Milton for 10 years. He returned to his boyhood home in 1947. Andy m. on 8 Feb 1900 to EMMA SACHLEBEN who surv. with 3 daughters Mrs. Carl Schiller, Mrs. Harvey Smith and Mrs. Oren Siekman, 3 sons Charlie, William and Rev. Edwin Detmer, Jr., 3 sis. DETMER, Miss Florence, 26, Madison, IN died 20 Oct 1947, buried Moffett Cem., b. 5 Jun 1921, d/o Mrs. Louise Detmer and late Lewis Detmer, spent most of her life in Trimble Co., living in Madison since March. Survived by mother, a brother Lewis Detmer of New Albany, IN.

DETMER, Ernest Louis, 62, died 8 May 1945, buried Moffett Cem., b. Carroll Co. 29 Dec 1882, s/o Fred Detmer and late Kate Sachleben Detmer, parents born Germany. At age 31, m. LOUISE THIEMAN who surv. with 2 children, dau. Florence and son Louis Frederick Detmer, 4 brothers John, Charles, Walter and Paul Detmer, 5 sisters Mrs. Margaret Thieman, Mrs. Andy Titkemeyer, Mrs. Frank Thieman, Mrs. Martha Titkemeyer and Mrs. Carl Raker. DONALDSON, Minnie, 86, died 6 Sep 1947, buried Moffett Cem., b. Trimble Co. 7 May 1861, d/o late Jerry and Gerilda "Rill" Buchanan, m. SIDNEY DONALDSON, moved to Lexington, then to Calif. until his death ca 12 years ago, after which she came to live with her sister near Milton. Survived by sis. Mrs. Mattie Ashby. Preceded by sis. DURAND, Stephen, 86, died Friday 1 May 1931 at Cincinnati, OH, burial at Madison, IN. Born and reared in Milton. For many years he was an engineer on the river and at Trow's Mill. Survived by wife and 1 brother Capt. Nick Durand of Louisville.
