NAME: Barbara Louise Duckworth Dean

I am seeking information on Mary White DeMary NICHOLS who lived in Antrim Co. as early as 1863. I believe her husband's name was Reuban James NICHOLS. She had a son James and several other children by Mr. Nichols, and children George DEMARY, Julia Katurah DEMARY, Emily Rose DEMARY, and Emma DEMARY by her first husband Harvey DEMARY, who died when the children were quite young in Genesee Co., NY. After her second marriage, the family seems to have spent several years in Kenosha Co., Wisconsin before coming to Antrim Co. They homesteaded and owned a boarding house near Torch Lake. Mary seems to have had some connection with the break-away Mormon sect which settled on Beaver Island, although we don't know if she was actually a member. Her association with this group led to estrangement from her family because of their belief in polygamy. She died in Antrim County about 1877-1879.Thank you.

I am looking for descendants of Harke DeGROOT who was born in the Netherlands (probably Groeningen) on June 10, 1850, immigrated to the United States in the late 1800s, apparently farmed in Atwood or Central Lake, MI and died in Antrim County, Michigan, October 18, 1935. His wife was Antye B. DYKSTRA. Both may be buried in Central Lake. I would like to know if that is true and what cemetary they might be at. A note on the back of a photo says Mrs. DeGroot's name was Anna Boonstra Dykstra DeGroot. Probably married previously. Antye was born July 28, 1848 in the Netherlands and died June 8, 1929 in Antrim County, Michigan. Harke and Antye had 8 children. John (our ancestor), Walter (married Flora, I believe), Bert, Gertrude, Jessie (married a Parsons), Oscar, Harry and Ida. Elderly relatives from the "other" side of the family thought that many of the children moved to either the Detroit area or Flint area. We would like to contact descendants of Harke and Antye in an effort to learn more about them. We also have photographs of them and the children which we would be willing to share. Thank you, Carolyn

NAME: Dorothy M. Paul

John A. ARMSTRONG (b. Sept 27, 1830, Schoolcraft Michigan) passed away, April (March?) 1916 at Central Lake, Antrim County, Michigan - probably at his daughter - Eunice M. Hosler's residence. He was buried in Schoolcraft, Kalamazoo County, MI (they have the March date there) next to his first wife Eunice (DOLPH) ARMSTRONG. I got this information from Civil War Disability Pension records where his name is listed: John Quincy Adams Armstrong. I would like to find an obituary, or any info on Eunice Hosler.

I would appreciate suggestions for locating them. John is brother to my direct ancestor, Elizabeth ARMSTRONG DOLPH. (see my Armstrong web page: http://www.nd.edu/~dpaul/armstron.htm )

NAME: Carolyn Fitzpatrick

Looking for records concerning Jesse FITZPATRICK(FITSPATRICK) born 1860 married Laura Price born 1875. Came from Greenup C. KY. Lived in Bellaire I think and had at least four children:Glatha, William, Sisicia(Felsy) and Ernest. Ernest is my husband's father who was born in 1906 and I have not looked in the 1910 census to find him as yet. This spelling of the name with an "s" instead of "z" was found on the 1900 U.S. Census although my husband's father spelled his name with a "z"... Thank you for any help you can give me.
