FARLEY, Joseph Hayden, 82, died 27 Sep 1951, Indianapolis, burial there. Spent most his life in Trimble Co. had lived in Indiana 6 years. His father Forrest Farley, was a Civil War veteran. Survived by 2 dau., Mrs. Nellie Parker and Mrs. Mabel Schwartz, 4 sons, Donald, James, Joseph and Benson Farley, a brother Jasper Farley. Note: Hayden Farley married EVA F. WILLIAMSON, 20 Jan 1892 in Trimble Co.

FAULCONER, William Henry, 74, died 27 Nov 1953, Missouri, burial there. s/o Robert Logan and Sally Coleman Faulconer, b. near Bedford, the family moved to MO when he was 2 yrs old. He was m. in Indiana on 22 Feb 1932 to FLORENCE CASEBEER, they were parents of 4 ch.

FERRIS, Florence, 88, died 30 Jan 1953, Milton, burial Moffett Cem. (d/o Danville and Sallie McIntire Moreland.) b. 17 Oct 1864, she spent her entire life at the home place where she was born in Trout's Bottom until two years ago when she went to live with her niece. m. WILLIAM A. FERRIS, Oct 1911, he died 10 yrs ago. Survived by 2 nieces, 1 nephew. Preceded by a brother W. A. Moreland and a sister Mrs. Sophia Luckett.

FRESH, John V., 87, died 30 Aug 1954, Spring Creek near Milton, burial Moffett Cem. A native of Trimble Co., b. 2 Sep 1866, s/o Richard and Josephine Roseberry Fresh. A retired river boat captain - operated packet boats from Madison to Louisville for years. m. 13 Oct 1904 to LUCY JONES at Madison, IN who survives also 2 sons, Wilmer and Cleo Fresh, foster dau., Mrs. Ralph King, a sister Mrs. Alma Turner and a brother Charles Fresh.

GAMMONS, Wilbur Parker, 54, died 17 Dec 1959, burial IOOF Bedford. b. Madison, IN, (23 Nov 1904,) spent most of his life in Bedford Com. s/o John and the late Elizabeth Gammons. Survived by wife MADELINE TINGLE GAMMONS, 3 sis., Mrs. Cecil Yeager, Mrs. Walter Meadows and Mrs. Kermit Yelton, a brother Cecil Gammons.

Survived by dau., Mary Lee Garrett, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Garrett, 4 sis., Mrs. Amy Burrows (his twin), Mrs. Ruby Leach, Mrs. Burnice Litz and Mrs. Hazel South, 2 bro., Richard and William Garrett.

GARRIOTT, H. Trigg, 87, died 16 Aug 1958, burial IOOF Bedford. He came to Trimble Co. from Oldham Co., KY, lived here most his live. (Born 5 Jun 1871, s/o Joseph and Mary Catherine Pennington Garrett) (Wife, LILLIE GARRIOTT GARRETT died 3 Feb 1949.) Survived by 7 ch., Mrs. Allene McAllister, Mrs. Irvin Liter, Mrs. Victor Liter, Roy, Willie, Henry and D. R. Garriott, a brother Goodlow Garriott. A brother Tommie Garriott and half-bro. Jim Singer preceded him. Note: His tomb stone reads: TRIGG GARRETT, not Garriott.

GATEWOOD, Amanda "Aunt Mandy," 104, died 16 Sep 1956, burial Gatewood Cem. Bedford, KY. She died one week short of her 105th birthday. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Bunny Perkinson and Mrs. Myrtle Cramer. Note: This was written in paper of 4 Oct 1951-Aunt Mandy Gatewood 100 on 23 Sep 1951. Amanda Eliza Hackney-She is only one left of 9 children born to Mary Jane Montgomery and Francis Collins Hackney in Woodword Co. 4 miles north of Versailes, KY. Moved to Trimble Co. lived in Poplar Ridge community. Married Francis Foree Gatewood in 1878 and lived near the fair grounds, children, Maurice died 1918, Elva Hosley died 16 Dec 1937, Coleman died 9 yrs ago, Dow died 1 year of age, two are living, Mrs. Myrtle Cranmer and Millie Perkinson.

GATEWOOD, James Eldridge, __, died 20 Jan 1955, burial California. Native of Bedford, b. 11 Oct 1886, 1 of 9 children born to Late J. W. and Emma Helen Leland Gatewood. Moved to Calif. in 1910, m. 1915 to IDA GUTHAUS who died last Jan. Survived by 3 sis., Mrs. George Bartlett, Mrs. S. A.Duvall and Mrs. Nora Gividen, 3 bro., Wilbur, W. C. and Edwin Gatewood. Preceded by 2 sisters.

GRAVES, Maude, 84, died 24 Feb 1952, burial Vernon, IN. (b. 7 Aug 1867, d/o David and Elizabeth Stewart.) Widow of the late W. H. GRAVES a conductor on the Pennsylvania railroad. She spent most of her life in Columbus, IN. Surviving are 2 dau., Mrs. Ruth McClarin and Mrs. William Neal.

GRAY, Emma, 66, died 23 Jun 1954, burial Springdale Cem., Madison, IN. b. Trimble Co. d/o Sennett and Zadie King Duncan. WILLIAM R. GRAY her husband, died a number of yrs ago. Survived by sis., Mrs. Milo Vail with whom she made her home for sometime, 2 sons Harold and Sennett.

GREEN, Arthur, 76, died 26 Feb 1956, burial Springdale Cem., Madison. b. 21 Mar 1880 and reared in Trimble Co. s/o S. B. and Mary Surber Green. A resident of Indianapolis and for the last 18 months in Madison, IN. Survived by wife BONNIE WILLIAM GREEN, 2 dau., Mrs. T. W. Grisby and Mrs. Helen Pitner, 4 sis., Mrs. Lola Newman, Mrs. V. T. Etherton, Mrs. Pearl Bayne and Mrs. Ethel Roberts, 2 brothers, Gilbert and Harvey Green.

GREEN, Miss Mattie, 85, died 7 Apr 1950, burial Pleasureville Cem. d/o late John F. and Lucy Utley Green of North Pleasureville. After their death 27 years ago, she made her home in Sulphur, KY.

GREENWOOD, Amanda, 85, died 25 Apr 1957, burial IOOF Bedford. b. Trimble Co., d/o late Charles S. and Mary Lane Tingle. m. 22 Oct 1890 to WILLIE WALTER DOUGHERTY, who died 1893 leaving 2 small daughters now known as Mrs. A. B. Lehue and Mrs. Eugene E. (Virginia) Greenwood, the latter died some 25 yrs ago. m. 2nd on 28 Aug 1916 to CARL GREENWOOD, they moved to Calif. and lived there until 1943 when they returned to KY and to Trimble Co. in 1951.

JACK GREENWOOD 39 yrs ago, he survives with 3 ch., Allen and Francis Greenwood and Mrs. Martha Montgomery, sis., Mrs. Fanny Lynch. Preceded by a son Paul Greenwood, 2 bro. Alfred and Harvey Arnett, 2 sis. Ella and Lula Rowlett.
